Silicon Valley entrepreneur Sunil Bagai writes that despite the growing influence of metrics and big data, companies will still have to figure in the Human Algorithm in order to find and retain the best and the brightest talent. The use of metrics is important, but while data can convey the potential success of a candidate, data cannot measure motivation, such as a purpose, a compatible business culture, or an environment where they can thrive and develop. Knowledgeable recruiters will still be needed to find these passive candidates, who will be highly sought after. Recruiters will have to build talent communities instead of resume warehouses.
